Mühlenhof Freilichtmuseum (Mühlenhof Open-Air Museum)
Culture & history by the Aasee (Lake Aa)
Located on the bank of the Aasee, the Mühlenhof Freilichtmuseum comprises around 30 larger and smaller half-timbered buildings from the 17th to 19th century. In 1961, this open-air museum was opened with the construction of an Emslandic post mill from the 18th century and has since then been a popular day-trip destination – not only for people from Münster.
Many conference organisers hold their accompanying evening events in these idyllic Westphalian surroundings – international groups in particular are delighted by its flair and can experience Münsterland's history up close. Whether it be large and small groups, formal conference dinners or casual kick-off events – the Mühlenhof Freilichtmuseum offers the right framework for your event.
