Since January 1, 2012, the City of Münster has been one of the 108 boroughs in Germany attending to the tasks according to Volume 2 of the German Social Code under its own responsibility.

In the Jobcenter, we look after and place people in Münster who receive "Bürgergeld" (citizen's benefit) or other payments according to Volume II of the German Social Code. Our objective is supporting unemployed people on their path back to earning and to offer them assistance in a difficult social situation or with personal problems.

We are also the contacts for employers looking for suitable personnel for vacant jobs and give advice on possibilities of support in the hiring and employment of people capable of working and eligible for benefits.
