Westfälischer Kunstverein (Westphalian Art Society)

Founded in 1831, the Westfälischer Kunstverein has been organising exhibitions of international contemporary art continuously since 1945. It promotes modern art through dialogues with artists, series of lectures and films, annual donations, and art tours. The Art Society has around a thousand members who provide these activities both moral and financial support, although all events are open to the public.

The Art Society’s exhibition space and offices are in the Westphalian Provincial Museum.
