Ecumenical Peace Vespers
The peace vespers focused on the story of the brothers Jacob and Esau in the biblical book of Genesis. Based on this, the Protestant theologian and psychotherapist Prof. Dr. Michael Utsch developed his thoughts on inner-family conflict resolution and forgiveness. The St. Lamberti Chamber Choir under the direction of Maximilian Betz and Konrad Paul on the organ provided the musical accompaniment to the vespers.
The peace vespers have been organized since 1993 in cooperation between the Protestant Apostle parish, the Catholic parish of St. Lamberti and the Association of Christian Churches (ACK) to commemorate the Day of the Peace of Westphalia in 1648.
