Longing for Peace
On the evening of this historic anniversary, "Longing for Peace" attracted around 10,000 people to the Prinzipalmarkt. The desire for peace was given space in an emotional journey of images and sounds. Based on an idea by Fritz Schmücker, Hamburg light artist Michael Batz, who has already visually staged the Reichstag, Hamburg's Speicherstadt warehouse district and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, developed his own program to which international musicians contributed sounds and melodies.
