Measures for activation and vocational integration

So that your vocational (re-)start is successful, the Münster Jobcenter offers you various possibilities of support. The offer of measures is varied, but all of them have one objective: improving your chances on the labour market.
Participation offers the chance of clarifying your current vocational status and your perspectives, acquiring vocation-specific knowledge or also being given individual furthering to support your integration.
Your job coach clarifies whether participation in a measure is necessary and sensible for you in a discussion with you. The Jobcentre takes on the costs of the measure (course fees, travelling expenses, costs of looking after children etc. ...) During participation, "Bürgergeld" (citizens' money) is paid as long as the preconditions for these payments are fulfilled.

There are three different kinds of measures:

Measures with an institution

The Münster Jobcenter offers you measures in cooperation with certified education institutions. Objectives of participation:

• approaching the training and job market,
• establishing, reducing or removing placement inhibitions,
• placement in an employment subject to insurance,
• approaching independent activity or
• stabilisation of an employment measure.

Within these measures, company-practice elements can also take place with an employer for a duration of up to six weeks. A measure institution is always responsible for the organisation and implementation.
If your job coach cannot offer you a matching measure at the moment, you can be given a voucher to be redeemed with a certified measure institution.

Measures with an employer

A company measure, i.e. practical training in a company, is supported by the Jobcenter for a duration of up to six weeks. In the practical training, you can check whether you are vocationally suited for the activity you are aiming for. If you have been out of work for a long time, practical training can facilitate entry into everyday working life and at the same time give you the opportunity of refreshing specialist knowledge.
If you have not yet found a specific company for practical training, you can be given a voucher for a measure with an employer.

Measures with an institution of private job placement

Not only the Jobcenter, also private job placement institutions endeavour to place job-seekers in employment subject to insurance. If the placement is successful, the private provider is given a fee. In order to be able to make use of the services of a private job placement institution free of charge, you need a so-called activation and placement voucher. You can apply for this voucher with your job coach at the Jobcenter in Münster.
Your job coach checks whether a private job placement can distinctly improve your chances of starting vocational activity, i.e. whether taking on the placement remuneration is a sensible support. You can freely choose the private job placement institution - as long as the provider has been registered.
