Measures for vocational further training

In old days, people were often active in the same profession and also in the same company from apprenticeship to pension. Today, such a straight-line CV is not very frequent. Not only technical progress leads to a permanent change in requirements in everyday vocational life. Further training and qualification are a prerequisite in order to keep step in working life.
If you have had to take a long break in your working life, you are often dependent on getting back up to date, closing gaps in your knowledge and qualifying further when you start again.

Münster Jobcenter specifically stakes on further training close to the job market. As a result of the increasing demand for specialists, individual further training and retraining in the various vocational fields will also be supported in future.
Münster Jobcenter decides whether a further training support is possible taking the individual and job market related preconditions of support into due account. So in any case before the start of a further training measure, get in touch with your job coach in order to clarify the objective of the training and the necessary duration of further training support together.

Prerequisites of support

Münster Jobcenter supports your vocational further training if this distinctly increases your chances of placement and there is a high probability of being able to integrate you lastingly into the general labour market after successful completion of the qualification. In this context, your abilities, your vocational career and your previous knowledge as well as your personal, physical and mental suitability are taken into account. Your willingness to be mobile is also of significance.

Training voucher

If all the prerequisites for support have been fulfilled, you are given a training voucher. Münster Jobcenter thus assures you of assumption of the costs of the further training. The training voucher is limited in time, as a rule geographically limited and precisely describes the objective of the training. With this voucher, you can select a matching measure with a training institution.
The training institution and also the training measure must have been registered by an agency competent for the support.
The training institution settles the costs of the course with Münster Jobcenter on the basis of the training voucher.

Most important payments

The Jobcenter can reimburse the costs directly incurred by you as a result of the further training. This includes

• course fees and costs of a necessary establishment of suitability
• travelling expenses
• costs of necessary outside board and lodging
• costs of looking after children

For the time of supported further training, the payments for basic securing are still paid as long as the prerequisites for these payments are fulfilled.
